About Jon
Food has been at the centre of Jons life for more than 20 years.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Jon's passion for cooking began in his early teens, influenced by after school food shows and working his first job as a dishwasher in a local pub. With that and the benefit of a family of food lovers around him, he discovered a love for hospitality and the craft of cooking. He went on to complete his professional chef training in Birmingham before moving to London, where he began to refine his skills in a Michelin-starred kitchen.
His culinary journey has since taken him across the world, cooking in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and now New Zealand. Along the way, Jon has worked in fine dining restaurants, neighbourhood bistros, artisan bakeries, and as a private chef. He has also owned and operated his own food trailer business and a successful pizza pop-up, giving him a broad understanding of both exceptional food and the importance of creating memorable dining experiences.
Jon believes great food should do more than taste exceptional—it should, bring people together. Every menu is thoughtfully designed around each client's preferences, lifestyle and goals, allowing them to enjoy restaurant-quality food in the comfort of their own home.
Jons approach to food now is one of restraint, using time tested flavours and combinations that deliver on flavour first and foremost. Using the best seasonally led produce wherever possible. This lets the time of year dictate what goes on the plate. He favours presenting in a natural but visually appealing way which is ideal for large sharing style dinners and composed plates.
